This website was created on February 1, 2026 to provide factual information to help Metchosin residents and taxpayers make informed decisions regarding the largest and most expensive infrastructure project that has been proposed, since our community's incorporation. 

The scale and cost of the currently proposed firehall replacement project has serious affordability implications that will endure for decades. Local residents deserve the opportunity to fully understand what is being proposed and an opportunity to consider viable options which are more affordable. 

We encourage visitors to review the full table of contents tab, to begin a journey through information that has not been made easily accessible by the District.
