Based upon good governance practices, it could reasonably have been expected that the District CAO would have developed a detailed “roadmap” or plan for all phases of the Firehall replacement project. Similarly, it could reasonably have been expected that progress would be monitored, with the completion status of important milestones verified by the CAO. 

Beyond a superficial level, this does not appear to have occurred. 

In response to this process deficiency, a Notice of Motion was brought forward by one member of Council and supported by a detailed Councillor's Note dated September 15, 2025. This motion was defeated in a 3:2 vote.
